I have seen these out and about and love them. I love how a child can read along and be encouraged to read and see the words too. Too me its a great booster and I love the addons are not expensive.

main entry: I found the fact that you mentioned about the rewards the unit can provide to the kids very interesting and it gives them a further extra if you will to stay interested in what it teaches them. I love the
idea they can  print out  the doorknob hangers or certificates, or mazes by using LeapFrog’s Connect software.  My grandson loves mazes and what a great fun tool to let them be encouraged to learn. He is 5 yrs and would love this. thanks for the offer.

entry #1..I enjoyed your review of the Tag Reader and was glad that you reviewed the negative as well as the positive things about it. It sounds like my little grandson would love it…his mother has a program that she is using to teach him to read and I think the Tag Reader would just be a fun way for him to explore and “play” with the books. He is read to and they make regular trips to the library so the Tag Reader would not replace any current reading activities but would be just another way for my grandson to interact with books.

i am interested in so many aspects of this system.  It seems alot better than the leappad system we have.  I like that it holds mulitple books and that it appeals to a preschooler and a grade schooler so it can get alot of use at our house depending on the books we get for it.

I like that the system setup is easy and takes anywhere from 10-15 minutes depending on the speed of your internet connection

I really appreciate your thorough review.  It is very informative.  I would still like to try the product as a fun learning tool, and I am glad to know that the reward system seems to work.

I thought it was interesting that the reader provides great voices, sound effects, and music that go along with the picture that was touched.

I love the fact that the children can earn rewards that they can print out using LeapFrog’s Connect software. This keeps them more stimulated and are apt to pay attention!
