At the Five Hens, we love museums and this Saturday, September 26th, the Smithsonian Magazine is doing us all good by hosting a FREE Museum Day. That’s right. Compliments of the Smithsonian Magazine, you can enjoy free general admission for you and a guest to literally hundreds of museums and cultural venues nationwide on Saturday (and some on Sunday too). To get your free admission, you’ll need to present a Museum Day admission card at participating Museum Day locations. You can download your admission card from the Smithsonian’s site by clicking that big Museum Day Admission Card picture right here on our site.

If you can’t visit one of the museums in person, there are great podcasts available for you to listen and learn without having to leave your house. You can listen to tours, lectures and fun facts from participating Museum Day museums. You can also follow the goings-on of Museum Day on Twitter.
