I am looking forward to traveling with my son showing him the National parks and the other interesting things that make up out world. In the five hens review I liked the fact that the book is succinct and helpful, with a new baby I tend to skim most things these days.

It was interesting to see the Columbus zoo on the list. We are not that far from there and we’ve never been. You can’t beat a water park and golf!

I was suprised that Disney’s Animal Kingdom was included on the latter list, but in explaining it, yes, it makes good sense. I’ve been there many times and I love it. It is a great learning experience for everyone, but especially the kids.

2. Affordability. Traveling can be expensive, so any opportunity to have a lot of fun at a reasonable price is great. Most of the suggestions from National Geographic are for great activities that are either low cost or free – you can’t beat that!

I read the review. Two points that stood out for me (which I love!) is that the book concentrates on cheap or free things AND that they avoid tourist traps.
